Vlog 21 Hawaii - Visit of Pearl Harbor and evening in Waikiki beach

We are back in O'ahu 18 days after our first day. This time we will stay there for 2 days. It will be short, so we are planning a visit that Flo is looking forward to, that of Pearl Harbor.

The visit of Pearl Harbor

It is therefore very early in the morning, at 7:00 a. m., that we arrive at the World War II Valor In the Pacific National Monument. It is the gateway to the various sites to visit at Pearl Harbor military base. The base is still active, but this part has been transformed into a National Park. After having had a big scare seeing the queue on arrival, we finally quickly enter the park and manage to get a ticket to the USS Arizona Memorial at 8:00 am.

After a moving moment above the USS Arizona, we complete the visit by discovering the historical narratives and pieces of epochs, retracing the attack of this December 7,1941. At the end of the morning, we take a shuttle to the USS Battleship Missouri, a large warship that can be visited from top to bottom! We will spend almost 2 hours discovering each room and we will be immersed in the life on board. Early in the afternoon, we leave Pearl Harbor after a visit that is quite exhausting, especially after only 4h30!

Return to Honolulu and walk to Waikiki beach

We take advantage of a little time to do some shopping and spend some time to eat a burger at Five Guys, then head to the hotel for a well-deserved nap before going out again at the end of the day in Waikiki.

This time, change of atmosphere! We enjoy this stroll in the great arteries of Honolulu and we will finish our escapade on the ocean side, in Waikiki beach, which will end with an improvised Hawaiian concert!
