Vlog 17 - Turtles, beaches and turquoise water - Last day at Big Island

Written by Sandrine Published on 02/09/2017

It's already our last day on Big Island, and to finish off in style, we have an appointment with the north coast of Kona which has some nice surprises in store for us!

First stop of the day at Kaloko-Honok?hau National Historical Park, an air of conservation of ancient Hawaiian remains, which leads us to the seaside. We don't see them at first glance, but after looking at the rocks in the water, we notice turtles! Some of them rest on the rocks, while others are in the water! In fact, it's everywhere!

After enjoying the park, we head north to Mahai' ula Beach, a beautiful beach. It's a little paradise! We would have stayed there all day, but our plane is waiting for us at the end of the day. His sister, Makalawena Beach, is known to be even more beautiful! We didn't miss this beach on the spot :(

To complete our exploration of Big Island, we head to Kiholo Bay. After a exhausting walk in the sand we a sun of lead, we arrive in sight of lagoon. The waters are magnificent, especially seen from the sky!

Now it's time to get back to Kona airport. After 25 minutes of flight (it's super fast!), we arrive in Kahului, on Maui Island. We pick up our rental car and drive to our condo in Napili-Honokowai, in the northwestern part of the island.
