The summary of our day

For our 3rd day in Kauai, head to Kamokila Hawaiian Village, which will be the starting point for our canoeing expedition on the Wailua River. We rent a 3-seater canoe for the day and off we go!

We sail quietly towards our first point: the departure of the trail to the Secret falls. We find it easy to find it, then we start the pleasant walk towards the waterfall. We cross a very dense and surprising rainforest, there are even roosters here! We finally get to Secret falls. The waterfall falls in a small box, but too bad there are a few people. It won't stop us from bathing in the cool water, even under the waterfall! We then turn back the way and return to our canoe.

We then land at Fern Grotto, the fern cave, then we continue to a small promontory from where we can jump in the water, before returning to the village to finish our walk on the water.

We take the opportunity to visit the traditional Hawaiian village that has been reconstructed. The visit is very interesting. At the end of the day, we drive west to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the ocean.
