Get up at 2am for this long Thursday that will last 36 hours for us, which says better! Our ultimate goal: Hawaii with an arrival in O' ahu.

After the final preparations for a first flight to Toulouse airport, the first stopover in London. The 3-hour stopover in London will not have been too much control over the American airlines (American Airlines for us) is laborious. Allow 2 hours for a connection with Uncle Sam's companies to avoid getting stuck in Heathrow (towards Terminal 3).

So just the time for us to swallow a sandwich quickly before the second flight, sorry, the lonnnnng second flight to Los Angeles which will be quite eventful especially on the end. We were heckled over the Rocky Mountains because of a strong wind and almost a sandstorm that caused huge clouds of sand to rise in the atmosphere, almost to our altitude of 11000m.

Arrival in Los Angels almost 11 hours later. Customs clearance, baggage retrieval, hold baggage retrieval to be re-deposited 30 seconds later (will include Charles) and passage of the TSA. We are finally at our door quickly with almost 3 hours in advance, enough to think that we could have taken the flight, but with a lot of stress, which left 2 hours earlier. But if you know about ASD, you know it can be a bit of a struggle.

It is now possible to use automatic terminals in the USA to scan your passport, take your digital prints and a photo for ESTA holders. Huge time saving compared to before! But this will not prevent you from passing in front of an agent immediately afterwards (but much faster).

The flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu will be the most demanding, lasting approximately 6.5 hours to cross half of the great puddle that is the Pacific, all inside a plane that usually makes connections like Toulouse-Paris (A321). Tough.

It's been 28 hours since we arrived at Toulouse airport, we finally put our noses out. The hot air makes us realize that we have arrived! We pick up the rental car and head to the hotel in Honolulu near Waikiki Beach. It's 1:00 a. m. local time when we can collapse on the bed.
