We are Sandrine and Flo, a couple of thirty-year-olds from France, nature lovers and travel enthusiasts. For the past 7 years we have been travelling the world together, attracted by the wilderness and focusing on unusual or unknown places.
We created Smartrippers in June 2016 to share our tips, advice and experiences to help travellers plan their trips, which is not always easy. Over the years, our blog has grown and become a reference on certain destinations, which has motivated us to continue in this way.
Our baby traveller, Lena, was born in March 2019 and together we decided to change our lives and embark on an adventure of itinerant travel around the world! We took a 180u00b0 turn and left everything behind to live our great dream and start this new nomadic life. Departure August 18, 2019!
You can follow us on our long journey on our Facebook page where we will keep you informed. We will also publish many vlogs throughout our tour of the world on our Youtube channel and of course continue to publish many articles on the destinations we may have discovered!
Awards and honours
- We were finalists (5th) at the Trophée du Blog Expert 2018 awarded by the WAT18 to the French travel bloggers exhibition.
Beliefs and collaborations
Above all, we want to remain independent and continue to plan our trips ourselves. We are also passionate about preparing our trips months in advance, dreaming about them and living them with surprises or hazards. That's adventure too! We take care to reproduce our experiences as faithfully as possible so that they can be useful to travelers who read us.
It can happen that we work in collaboration with brands and tourist offices. In this case, we always add a mention at the beginning of the articles concerned, explaining the context and conditions of our experience. We want to keep a total transparency towards our readers. In all cases, we keep our convictions and our "outspokenness". We do not hide behind a brand just to promote it. We commit ourselves to tell our experience as we have lived it, whether it is good or bad, in all transparency.
